Torres Choreographed the off-Broadway shows CELIA: The Life and Music of Celia Cruz‚ The Donkey Show‚ 4 Guys Named Jose‚ Latin Heat‚ Best of Both Worlds‚ and Disney‘s Golden Mickeys. Her Feature film credits include “El Cantante”‚ “Sueno” starring John Leguizamo‚ the Universal/HBO film‚ IDLEWILD starring OUTKAST and Terrance Howard and the Disney‘s feature films College Road Trip associate choreographer on Enchanted starring Patrick Dempsey Amy Adams and Susan Sarandon.

Maria has just finished being on the hit television show “So You Think You Can Dance” as a featured choreographer of Hustle and Latin Jazz and choreographed “Cheer”‚ a new theater piece produced by Marc Routh‚ Richard Frankel Tom Viertel‚ Steve Baruch‚ and Broadway Asia. Years later‚ Tito took on their footsteps and studied both bass and clarinet during two years at the “Escuela Libre de Música” in Carolina‚ PR.His musical heritage was undeniable for not only his parent‚ but also his great-grandfather‚ Domingo Colón‚ was a musician. Domingo was the creator of “Mingo and his Whoopee Kids” band‚ where the famous Puerto Rican singer Ruth Fernández‚ started her career.

Tito began his career as a salsa dancer because of his parent's initiative. They took him to his first dance teacher‚ the outstanding dancer‚ Papito Jala Jala. He taught him the foundations of salsa and his trademark‚ the art of dancing with flavor. Soon enough Tito was invited to be a member of famous salsa dance group‚ the Jala Jala Dancers. He also had the honor of being able to take lessons with another spectacular salsa dancer Mr. Tito Bey. During his years as a Jala Jala Dancer‚ he participates in many local and international events as well as in shows with performers such as Roberto Roena‚ Cheo Feliciano and La Sonora Ponceña among others.

At that same time‚ Tito was one of the singers in his father‘s orchestra “De Menor a Mayor” which later became “Songo”. In the near future he began to work with choreographer and dancer Stacey López with whom he got to dance for Jerry Rivera and several more artists of RMM Music Company. Other groups in which he participated were “Danzarines de Papa Tambor”‚ directed by Jorge Santana; “Bailadores D'aki”‚ directed by Felipe Polanco and “International Dancers”‚ directed by Angel Martínez.

Ortos completed a Bachelor‘s Degree in Natural Sciences at the University of Puerto Rico. Here he also took modern dance classes and worked with choreographer Viveca Vázquez and Paulette Beauchamp. Because of his open mind and his desire to become a more completed dancer‚ Tito challenged himself and took upon the experience of moving for several months to the city of New York. His friend and colleague‚ Jhesus Aponte‚ inspired him greatly in taking this step. During his stay at New York‚ he trained very hard in jazz and other disciplines such as ballet‚ tap and acrobatics at the respectful academy‚ Broadway Dance Center. Since then‚ he has visited over 30 countries offering workshops and shows and participating year after year with congresses around the world.

In addition to his dancing career‚ Tito works with the government of Puerto Rico as the director of the Salsa Dance Program‚ “San Juan es Salsa”‚ of the Department of Recreation and Sport of San Juan. This Program has over 1‚000 students and still growing every year. He also is in charge of the dance competition “San Juan es Salsa”. Tito also has acting experience for he has done over 10 TV commercials and was one of the dancers in the films “Dirty Dancing: Havana Nights”‚ Yellow‚ El Cantante: Hector Lavoe y American Gangster.

Nowadays not only has he established himself as a dancer but also as choreographer. He does all the choreographic work for Gilberto Santa Rosa and Víctor Manuelle and has choreographed for El Gran Combo‚ Michael Stuart‚ Richie Ray & Bobby Cruz‚ Domingo Quiñones‚ Ismael Miranda‚ Elvis Crespo‚ Modesto Cepeda‚ Andy Montañez and Tego Calderón. In addition to all this‚ he also choreographed the “Bomba” and "Cha-Cha-Cha" intervention of Ricky Martin in the presentation of “Miss Universe 2001 Pegeant” and the 2003 tibute to Celia Cruz‚ the TV Special “Azúcar” which was held in Miami. Even though he is best know for salsa dancing‚ Tito is also an outstanding jazz dancer and has performed with Melina León‚ Yaire‚ Elvis Crespo‚ Olga Tañón and among others.

A popular instructor/performer at many Congresses‚ Susana has a very dedicated following of both men and women. Women love her styling techniques‚ and the men love the way she teaches partnering. She is able to convey to the men what a woman wants in the lead and how to execute it properly and comfortably for the woman. For the women‚ she teaches when and how to style‚ without ever interrupting his lead.

Not many people know that Susana is educated above and beyond that of the average Salsera. She has her PhD. in Psychology from Complutense Madrid University in Spain. Susana doesn‘t flaunt her experience‚ talent‚ nor education. She is the most down-to-earth woman on the face of this planet. She is just as beautiful inside as she is outside.

Susana recently got married to the love of her life‚ Yuriy Saskevych‚ and I never thought a person could glow as much as she is now. Susana‘s styling videos are a phenomenon. Her attention to detail is paramount. Although I've seen her teach with various partners‚ I prefer when she teaches on her own. When she teaches with a partner‚ you miss out on all the humor and details that only Susana Montero can give. When she teaches on her own‚ her true colors as a top-notch instructor shine. Her natural humor comes out as her audiences crack up at her wit. Susanna is not only a fabulous instructor‚ but fabulous person as well.

We‘ve had personal‚ very in-depth conversations about lead and follow together. There have been many Congresses when I pull her aside and ask her dance so she can critique my leading techniques. I want to make sure I'm still doing it right‚ teaching the guys correctly‚ and keep up with any new and unique technique coming along. She re-taught me how to turn right again. A simple right turn. Her technique does not put strain on the woman‘s right hip. I grabbed a hold of her technique like a dog and a bone and studied it‚ as Susanna currently does not experience any hip pain what so ever. Susana is loved by everyone who meets her. Her students rave about her classes‚ and I hear nothing but warm and wonderful things about this woman‚ literally all the time. Susana is the type of person that is automatically your friend. She brings the fun back into the dance with her smile. She brightens up London in a way no one else can. Simply put‚ Susana is amazing.

As a trumpet player in 1998 Chachi was recruited into the New Jersey Performing Arts Center (N.J.P.A.C) Latin Jazz Band under the conduction of Jose Luis Serrano. She is an alumni of Newark‘s High School of Performing Arts as a Television Production & Communications Major. Chachi has had the opportunity to perform and teach (Afro-Cuban Rumba‚ Bomba‚ Plena‚ Mambo/Salsa‚ Cha Cha Cha) in many venues throughout the world including Australia‚ Switzerland‚ Italy‚ Germany‚ Amsterdam‚ Curacao‚ Czech Republic and many more. She has appeared as a principal dancer for the Film "El Cantante" produced by Jennifer Lopez. Her voice can also be heard in the film and soundtrack of‚ “The Ministers” written and directed by Franc. Reyes. She's a triple threat talent who's graceful precise hot moves and winning personality will keep you smiling.

They are Spanish Champions 2006 and in the same year they became vice Champions at the World Salsa Open in Puerto Rico. One year later they went to Puerto Rico again‚ this time to finally win the Championship!

He most recently choreographed the musical Serenade in NYC and co-directed/ choreographed the original show Mezcla in Peru. Other choreography includes The Drop Outs‚ Starting Today‚ Power and Passion and more. Luis has put his style into Industrials‚ Musicals‚ Casino Shows‚ Live Stage Performances‚ Film‚ Television‚ Recording Artists‚ and his own theatre productions. Luis assisted Maria Torres in the film “Enchanted”; Jamal Sims in the Film “Step Up 2” and is the Latin Assistant Choreographer in the Musical Hit‚ In The Heights‚ that has earned The Drama Desk‚ Lucille Lortel and Outer Critics Award in 2007 for Outstanding Choreography under the hand of Andy Blankenbuehler.

He was the Dance Double for Diego Luna in “Dirty Dancing 2 Havana nights”; other films credit includes “American Gangster”‚ “The Great Observer”‚ “Enchanted”‚ “Across the Universe” and played Alejandro in the new film “Step Up 2 the Streets”. Awards: BroadwayWorld.com‘s Gypsy of the Month; Drama Desk Award-Outstanding Ensemble‚ In the Heights. Luis co-produced his own DVD “Latin Fusion with Luis Salgado”.

Kelvin and Lori Ann have also worked on many movies‚ commercials and television shows. They appeared in the movie “El Cantante” with Marc Anthony and Jennifer Lopez. And the Disney movie “Enchanted” starring Patrick Dempsey‚ Susan Sarandon and Amy Adams.

He was born and educated in London and comes from a Caribbean background where he learnt to appreciate a wide variety of good music from an early age. During these years‚ Leon attended The Anna Scher Theatre School‚ which led to many appearances on stage‚ popular children's shows‚ including ‘Grange Hill’ to several televised dramas‚ one alongside Dame Judy Dench.

He has performed on television and stage‚ from appearances with Enrique Iglesias on Top of the Pops (BBC)‚ The Des O‘Connor Show to The Royal Albert Hall in aid of Princess Diana Landmine Fund‚ Hackney Empire and various prestigious venues around the UK and the rest of the world.

As a choreographer and Salsa instructor Leon enjoys every aspect of dancing from encouraging the novice to working with the advanced and inspiring the best. Leon teaches worldwide from a far field as Australia to Morocco to Puerto Rico. His natural exuberance and Salsa spirit ensures that to see him in action - Salsa is Life!

She recently finished working with Maria Torres as her assistant choreographer for the Off- Broadway production of Celia. Ms. Cardona has studied at such schools as: N. Y. C. Performing Arts H.S.‚ Alvin Ailey‚ Joffrey Ballet‚ William Esper Studios and H.B. Studios. She thanks her family and her forces for guiding her.

Jermaine discovered his true passion‚ choreography‚ while teaching at Broadway Dance Center in New York City. His unique combination of strength and sensuality captured the attention of the music industry while working as an assistant choreographer for Britney Spears’ video Crazy.

This has led him to create Christina Aguilera’s break-through video Genie In A Bottle‚ and co-choreograph Jennifer Lopez’s Love Don’t Cost A Thing. As well as music videos‚ Jermaine has created and choreographed stage shows for artists such as Thalia‚ Deborah Cox‚ Tamia and many more. He has also choreographed stage performance at the European MTV Music Awards 2005 in Lisbon‚ which ‚ among others‚ included the holographic performance by the Gorillaz and Boret. He Co-Choreographed the Victoria Secret fashion show 2006‚ which included‚ the opening for Justin Timberlake.

More recently‚ he‘s choreographed the Leona Lewis performance for the British Music Awards‚ Nike’s fashion show in Manchester‚ Englang; worked with World Champion ice Skater Daisuke‚ staged and choreographed performances for Melissa Jimenez promo tour (new Universal artist)‚ The Angel Ball Fund Raiser‚ The hot Box Cabaret show. He also has just returned from Russia from being the new choreographer icon of Absolute Vodka.

When asked to describe his choreographic style‚ Jermaine replies‚ “My choreography is fluid‚ hard-hitting‚ sensuous and edgy‚ yet technical and precise. I bring jazz‚ ballet and hip-hop together and by pairing this with Caribbean influenced movements I strive to create a contemporary and provocative style”.

Richard’s teaching credits include master classes at Bird Theatre College‚ Performers College‚ The Centre Performing Arts College‚ Italia Conti‚ London School of Musical Theatre and Tiffany Theatre College. He is also regularly invited to present dance lectures for the ISTD and IDTA dance societies.

He is vice chairman of the Club Dance Faculty at the ISTD and also sits on the Executive Council. In 2005 he was presented with the prestigious ‘Imperial Dance Sport Award’.

Richard is currently training the principal dancers from the West End show ‘Billy Elliot’.

She performed in several dance concerts‚ musicals‚ special events and local TV shows. She has choreographed and performed with several Latino dance groups and cultural events prior to and during her collegiate experience.

After a hiatus from the artistic world and a rising career in Public Relations‚ Maritza’s heart has led her back to her calling. She moved to New York from Philadelphia‚ to pursue her dream and dance. She frequented the Broadway Dance Center where she began training with mentor‚ Maria Torres’‚ in the Latin Jazz technique. Maritza is a choreographer‚ faculty member at the Broadway Dance Center and Public Relations executive in NYC. She is a dynamic and exciting spirit who combines here extensive artistic training with a deeply-rooted love of her Puerto Rican heritage.

Mauricio has been DJ-ing since 1994‚ playing and teaching regularly all over the Midlands‚ the UK and abroad. He is a regular DJ at some of the UKs biggest salsa events‚ and has been awarded 'Top UK Salsa DJ'‚ ‘Top Regional Promoters’ & ‘Services to Salsa’ awards at the 2003 congresses. As a dedicated salsa DJ‚ dance instructor and promoter for well over a decade‚ Mauricio’s work within the UK salsa scene has been extensive. He has introduced & inspired a huge number of people to Salsa‚ including many other Salsa dance teachers in and around Birmingham.

Both the Mambolifestyle and Salsalifestyle systems teach people how to free their unlimited potential and find the latin dancer within. Irene Shares her passion for Latin music‚dance and culture and her respect for all her teachers in her unique approach. Irene runs her own studio and Teacher Training courses. She was the first international teacher to teach performance courses specially designed for congresses‚ given the students the opportunity to perform alongside their favourite salsa stars!

Irene has been travelling around the world teaching and performing for 10 years and has partnered dancers such as Seon Stylist‚ Angel Ortis‚ Edgard Del Rosario‚ Leon Rose‚ Laith Sami and Tamambo amongst others.

By adding his own personal touch to everything he does, Moe makes every dance experience a positive and memorable one and always leaves you wanting more. He really is an inspiring and motivational role model for all performing artists and celebrities and has worked with the likes of Rolldeep, Tim Westwood‚ 50 cent‚ Blu Cantrell‚ Craig David‚ & Madonna.
